Mobile Organ Donation Awareness, Organ Donor Registry
Give Second Chances seeks to substantially increase the number of organ donors across the country. How? Provide a mobile easily accessible organ donation awareness program to educate people — especially teens and college students — on organ donation and to help register new organ donors.
Organ Donor Awareness and Registry
Our mobile organ donation awareness and registry program will target over 17.5 million college students across the country by funding high-profile vehicles equipped with registration kiosks and educational media. Staff members will be accompanied by individuals who have been personally impacted by organ transplantation.
My name is Melissa Susanne Boyett. My 18 year struggle with Cystic Fibrosis, which began at birth, has given me a personal perspective on organ donation. I have been blessed with two double lung transplants which have allowed me to experience joys in life that never would have been possible without the selfless act of an organ donor.
I believe that MY SECOND CHANCE at life happened for a reason, and that reason is to fight on to give second chances to others who are in need of organ donation.
Please take a moment to read my story, view the October 21 First Coast News story, then click on one of the links to learn how you can become an organ donor. Your selfless act now will give someone else in need their own second chance. Thank you!
